Tane Orfebres is known as the Tiffanys of Mexico and has produced well crafted and beautifully designed objects since the early 50's. This is a published book piece by Penny C. Morrill in WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE on page 32. It also states that the form of the design is taken from Tarascan copper tweezers. (the necklace is however solid silver) The piece has a bold presence and is a monumental 197 grams heavy. The diameter of the necklace is 5in. which is about 17 wearable inches. The drop is 4in. long including the ring and 3 1/8in. wide at it's widest point. It is properly hallmarked with eagle double strike 71, Sterling, Mexico and Tane. Sensational with great presence, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
