This is a super rare pair of Margot de Taxco earrings numbered design 5104. The shell motif has rings that move freely and are pierced through the open backed thick repousse. This is Margot's 4th design after opening her own Taller. The open back repousse was a technique that was used mostly in the earliest time frame of the Spratling Era and I would place these very close to 1950. These jewels weigh 20 grams and are quite large with a stunning presence at 1.5 inches tall/long and 1in. wide without the rings. Definitely collector quality with no damage.
