This is an incredible vintage Mexican silver necklace. I have come to recognize over the past recession that some very rare and incredible early pieces have surfaced without a designer hallmark. Many of the earliest pieces are not signed. This necklace is certainly one of those very special items. Hallmarked as shown stating only "MADE IN MEXICO STERLING" these finest works of art are fought after at auctions and private sales. This chain is 1.5in. wide and is made up of large repousse petals and dark amethyst stones with a milky swirl mixed here and there. The drop is 2.5in. x1.75in. The length is 16in. The way this sits on the neck is like none other. The double set of rings that attach the chain links allow the inside stones and petals to climb up the neck with ease of flexibility. It is surprisingly comfortable. The wearable length is followed by the outside lines at 16in. You can wear this with an extension and it will lay flat and perfect that way as well. I think it looks awesome either way. The weight is 145 grams so you can see this is one of great presence and stature. There are no dents to the puffy repousse petals and no chips or cracks to the stones. It's beauty and rarity speaks for itself, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
