This Mexican silver cuff is stunning with a large presence! Heavy at 73 grams and the face of this piece is 1 5/8in. wide. The inside diameter is 2 3/8in. This cuff is signed by Lico who was an early maestro for Spratling. The piece is so unusual and displays open backed repousse and is then framed with shaped bars of silver laid over the repousse in a manner to give a shadowing effect. Lico did not stop there as he also gave the center niello background a leather finish and on both sides of that a slick "patent leather" finish. I have not seen another piece even similar to this. Really a special treasure and in perfect condition.
