I think the best way to start this description is to look at all the pictures of this incredible 1st phase William Spratling masterpiece. This is thick silver weighing 330 grams. The width of the chain is 15/16th's of an inch and for all practical purposes I would say it is one inch wide. The color of the almost pure silver and its magnificent size tells one right away that this is LUX. The chain is engineered on a bit of an angle making it lay beautifully. It actually falls and cups right where age begins to show on a woman's neck and totally hides it. This is not your ordinary link in that it has an exaggerated center depth to the chain and it gives the piece even more dimension. It will twirl if you hold it by one end because of the angle that it is made on and if you run your hand down the piece each link falls into place smoothly and perfectly showing the great skill of the Maestro who created this very special piece. It is truly comfortable to wear with the weight evenly distributed around the neck. Hallmarked as shown and the length is 16 inches long. It leaves me speechless, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
