Matilde Poulat signing Matl was the foremost artist in the medium of silver following the folkloric style in the Spratling era. This bracelet is BIG at 1.75 in. tall in the center piece and the chain going around is 1.25 in. tall. With a weight of 70 grams the quality becomes apparent. The coral has warmed with time and it has a natural patina through out. The center is curved and lays magnificently on the wrist. The round hallmark has some double strike (letters on top of one another) and the other is text book. Finding one like this with the old hallmarks is very rare and they are hard fought for at auctions. This one is collector / museum quality and very rare. No damage and all these years so very well cared for.
